Welcome to
the homepage of the
Illinois Association for
Multilingual Multicultural Education
IAMME is a professional
organization that promotes high quality educational policies and practices
for linguistically and culturally diverse students including English
language learners. We believe in the benefits of multilingualism and
multiculturalism.
IAMME's goal with
this web site is to provide our visitors with information about the
organization, tools and links for educators and to serve as a source for
news and all things bilingual! Through this web site you will
learn more about us, our Executive Board, our membership
benefits, and how to become a
member as well as renew your
membership or change your contact
information. We have also included our Constitution
and Bylaws and our newsletter the IAMME
Bulletin online. We often have events
and employment opportunities for our
members as well as non-members.
Visit the NEW IAMME Member
Forum! This new forum replaces the old events & jobs pages. You'll need to
register to post events & opportunities. Just
click here to go straight to the
forum!
Some of the items on this site
are in the Adobe Acrobat PDF format. You will need to have the FREE
Adobe Acrobat Reader plug-in to view these pages.
Another way to stay in touch with and update on
bilingual news is to join our listserv. It is a free email news bulletin
that is sent out whenever the board needs to get in touch with it's
members. You do not need to be a member of IAMME to join the listserv.
We're always surfing the Internet for other items of
interest to bilingual educators. Check out these other
Bilingual Education web sites and if you know of a bilingual
education web site that we should include, please let us know!
